About the event

The walk is timed to start just ahead of a rising tide and finish at about high tide so we should see plenty of wildlife.  This coastline should be great for waders in summer.  We will hopefully see waders with young, possibly some early autumnal migrants and lovely summer flowers along the banks of the Orwell. The habitat is a mixture of saltmarsh, mudflats, a scrubby area by the foreshore and a freshwater lake (Loompit Lake). We will be joined by a Suffolk Wildlife Trust volunteer warden who will be on hand for advice.

Walk duration approx 1.5 hours plus approx 0.5hrs stopping for birdwatching etc.
