About the event

This Autumn, come and join the Coddiwomplers for a fun, relaxed willow weaving workshop. Under the tuition of two experienced basket makers, you will learn to make a willow platter also known as a Catalan tension tray. These trays are really enjoyable to make and are a perfect introduction to using willow. We’ll be incorporating willow grown locally by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust as well as basketry willow grown in Somerset. You will have time during the workshop to make at least 2 trays.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, so no previous experience is necessary. However, some manual dexterity will be required and people with limited strength in their hands may find this weave tricky. All materials and tools will be provided.

There is a café onsite where you can order a lunch, or bring a packed lunch. Teas and coffees will be supplied.

Please note that your booking is non-refundable and non-transferable and we run all our courses based on a minimum number of participants. You can find our full Terms and Conditions here.
